Antique English Staffordshire Ironstone platter made by G. L. Ashworths & Bros. C.1850. This version of the traditional Blue Willow pattern is known as the "Two-man Willow" pattern. With deep blue colors, this platter is quite rare and beautiful. It is also surprisingly heavy and measures 13 1/2" by 17". There is a small very old chip on the back edge that is not visible from the front and does not at all detract from the beauty of this platter.
