Tall antique English barley twist candlestick or lamp base.

Item Description »
Very tall antique English barley twist candlestick or lamp base. This piece measures approx. 22 3/4" tall and 6" across the base. The wood is a rich dark brown (great original patina) and actually appears to be dark oak. The golden painted decoration appears to be original. At one time, it was possibly wired as a lamp. It would make a beautiful lamp - but, it would work equally as well as a single large candlestick holder.
