Large Antique Pewter Charger

Large antique pewter charger. This charger measures approx. 14 3/4" across. The outside rim is rolled over on the back. The style and shape would date this lovely charger to the late 1700s or early 1800s. This charger was well used and has a great old patina. It is European - we could not read the touchmarks well enough to identify them. On the top front rim, there is an etched design that looks a little like a crown or castle. It was probably specific to the estate or owner. There are also the initials G and R. Because of use and cleaning, the back shows much more age and patina than the front.
