Hi! Welcome to our December newsletter! December is a special time of the year to be in Madison, Georgia. Homeowners and businesses alike celebrate the holidays with special events and decorations. At night, the entire town looks like fantasy land with all the twinkling lights and beautifully decorated homes. The Bicentennial Holiday Home Tour was this past week end. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the 4 day tour had over 400 volunteer helpers and over 3000 guests taking the tours. The Chamber's records show it was the largest holiday home tour in the state of Georgia. Quite an accomplishment for a town of this size! Our next home tour in May will be a 2 day tour sponsored by the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. Also, this past Thursday, the Madison- Morgan Cultural Center was host to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for the 31st straight year. Held in the historic late 1800s auditorium that seats less than 300 people, it was incredible. Experiencing the sound of the Symphony in such an intimate setting is a chance of a lifetime. Mark your calendar early for next year and watch our events notices at the bottom of our newsletter! For those of you who visited us, you already know our Holiday Open House was a huge success and fun for all. There will be many new items on our website - please click to view our inventory: |
